Can I use Certify for 5000 unique domains under one Windows Server?

Hi,

We have 5000 unique domains, and we try to find a solution that we can use in one or two Windows Server with Certify.
What is the best solution that can offer that?

Note: Every domain is unique and is not a sub-domain, so wildcard is not solving the issue.

Hi, yes you can use the licensed version of Certify to managed an unlimited number of certificates on a server. If your websites are already setup you may find the CSV import option the easiest way to configure lots of sites assuming you are using http validation (https://docs.certifytheweb.com/docs/csv-import).

Note that there are rate limits with Let’s Encrypt which may be applicable so the best method is to gradually setup sites/certificates in batches - it’s not practical to acquire 5000 certificates in one go: Rate Limits - Let's Encrypt - Free SSL/TLS Certificates

You can also optionally combine domains into shared certificates (SAN) - let’s encrypt support up to 100 domains on one certificate.

Thanks for the info.

  1. Do I need to set up each domain also in IIS or there is a workaround I can use for that?
  2. What is the limit of Certify under one server? does he know who to handle 100K domains? just to know my limits.
