Failed to register account with certificate authority: An error occurred while sending the request

I have an old Lets Encrypt script for my Exchange server.
I tried to switch the CertifyTheWeb.
Installed the new version.
Than under settings tried to add our common email address [email protected] and I receive the error:

Failed to register account with certificate authority: An error occurred while sending the request.

What can I do?

Hi, Let’s encrypt are having trouble with their API over the last day or two (https://letsencrypt.status.io/) but you also need to make sure that whatever machine you run the app on can talk https out to the various APIs (like let’s encrypt) and that you don’t have a firewall blocking that.
