Possible issue when duplicating certificates with Certificate Subscriptions enabled

We’re currently evaluating Certify The Web for potential adoption within our company and have generally had a positive experience so far. During testing of the Management Hub, however, I’ve encountered what appears to be a UI/workflow issue.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Select an existing certificate that has Certificate Subscription enabled.
  2. The certificate also has configured Tasks.
  3. Click Duplicate to create a copy (to reuse the existing task configuration).
  4. Enter a new name for the duplicate.
  5. Enable Certificate Subscription and click Select Certificate.

Unexpected behavior: After clicking Select Certificate, the duplicate appears to switch back to editing the original certificate instead of continuing with the new duplicated item. At that point it looks like I am modifying the source certificate rather than the copy I just created.

Expected behavior: The duplicate should remain a separate certificate object and continue through the subscription selection process without switching context back to the original certificate.

Has anyone else seen this behavior, or is this a known issue?

Additional questions:
Are there any plans to introduce configuration templates/profiles for deployments/subscriptions, so common task configurations can be reused across multiple instances without recreating them manually?

Is there a public roadmap available for upcoming Management Hub features and enhancements?

Thanks for raising this issue, can you confirm that the first step is to start with an certificate subscription, then “enable certificate subscription” part is confusing to me as the subscription would already be enabled, unless you are toggling it off.

Im not toggling it off, the moment i hit duplicate i get what You can see on screenshot below. Yes I am trying to duplicate entry that has “certificate subscription” enabled with certificate selected

As new user i can’t upload more than 1 media file, but i hope it’s enough.

i forgot to mention, im using right now simple docker compose from documentation

Thanks, so if you create a new certificate subscription without using the “duplicate” option it all works ok for you?

Yes, creating a new certificate subscription from scratch works as expected.

The behavior I’m seeing only happens when using Duplicate. After clicking Select Certificate, it looks like the UI switches back to the original certificate instead of continuing with the duplicated one.

  • There is no current plan for deployment task templates but it’s a good idea. We do plan to introduce a way to configure global tasks (one or more tasks that run for every item so that custom reporting scripts are easier to apply. What kind of tasks are you finding that are common between multiple certs?

  • There is currently no maintained public roadmap. We respond to customer support questions and feature suggestions as they come in. If a common theme develops we generally promote those to features.
